Quercus petraea - Sessile Oak
Description
Forms a large crown with substantial trunk with grey to blackish brown, deeply furrowed bark. Distinguished by its often rather large, long-stalked leaves. Ideal for damp soils. Good for coastal conditions. Hardy and adaptable to most conditions, particularly wind.
