Fagus sylvatica 'Riversii' - River's Copper Beech
Description
Large dome-shaped tree, foliage larger than 'Purpurea'. Bigger rounded leaves, rich deep purple-black all year. Holds its colour until autumn when the leaves drop cleanly. More reliable in colour and form than the seedling copper beech. Wonderful specimen. Needs wind protection when young.

Question: How big should the hole be?
Answer: Dig a hole twice the size of tree’s container, removing clay into a separate pile. Keep sides of hole straight & bottom of hole flat. If soil in hole is dry, soak with water before planting. Backfill the hole with good soil or compost. F...
