Fagus sylvatica - English Beech
Description
Stately tree. Bold fan shaped branches. Smooth grey bark soft, dark green glossy leaves which turn reddish brown in autumn. New leaves in spring have silky sheen. Can be grown as a hedge or 'pleached'. Suit moist conditions.
