Cupressus sempervirens 'Stricta' - Upright Cypress

Description

Ancient classical tree from the mediterranean forming a narrow coloum of strictly ascending branches and branchlets with dense, dark green foliage. Grows to a sizeable speciman if left unpruned but occasional trimming preserves better shape and keeps the plant healthier. Useful for architectural and formal landscaping but can be too dominant if overdone. Sempervirens - ever-green, stricta - erect or upright.
