Carpinus betulus - Hornbeam
Description
Dense pyramidal form maturing to a broad form, with drooping outer branches. Very hardy and tough. Oval pointed, deeply ribbed leaves, toothed margins turning yellow rich brown in autumn. Also used for hedges and for 'pleaching'.
