Betula pendula - Silver Birch
Description
Notable birch adapted to wide-ranging climatic conditions. Upright main branches with side branches pendulous. Valued for prominent white trunks and delicate lacy leaf texture. Juvenile bark golden brown, becoming white with black clefts as tree matures. Leaves toothed, bright green and glossy.
