Betula maximowicziana - Monarch Birch
Description
The largest leafed birch with heart-shaped leaves up to 15cm long turning to a beautiful clear butter in autumn. Orange brown bark turns to grey and pink, and peels in strips. A native of Japan and a very appealing larger growing birch. Deciduous. Hardy.
